All attacks in the game are non-target, which allows you to dodge them and makes aiming accuracy a matter of life and death. Will you be able to calculate the enemy and hit with your attack, or will you miss and die from the oncoming blow? Everything depends on you! Each hero has four active abilities, unique depending on the class of the hero:

Attack is a simple attack of the hero. The Ranger will fire his bow, the Barbarian will strike with his giant axe, and so on.

Charged Attack is a powerful attack performed by holding the attack button for a few seconds. Can significantly change attack impact. For example, the Barbarian will throw an ax and stun the enemy if it hits the target.

A special ability is a unique ability for each class that reveals the potential and style of the hero.

The ultimate ability is the trump card, the decisive argument in the fight. A powerful ability that can turn the tide of battle. Timely and accurate use of abilities is the key to victory.

BATTLE LEVEL AND PERKS

During the battle, heroes can earn experience and gain battle levels. The battle level, in contrast to the level of hero improvement, works only within one battle and will be reset after the end of the match. ****All heroes appear on the arena in equal conditions with the first battle level. ****By earning experience and battle levels faster than other players, you can gain the significant initiative and emerge victorious from the battle.

There are two ways to earn experience in battles:

• Pick up experience orbs scattered around the arena. There are many of them in the arena, you just need to find them. There are also particularly fertile places where you can collect a lot of experience at once, but the risk of meeting the enemy there is much higher.
• Get experience orbs from eliminating other heroes. Any player who dies loses the experience gained by him, after which this experience can be picked up by other players.

Having gained enough experience, the hero earns a battle level, and with it a perk. Perks are passive abilities that strengthen the hero.

Each time the battle level is gained, the player is offered three random perks from which he/she can choose one. You need to choose wisely — by collecting a tricky combination of perks, you can make your hero fantastically strong.

BONUSES

In the arenas, players can find various items that can help them in the battle:

• Experience Orbs give a certain amount of experience to the player’s hero
• Health vials restore part of the health lost in the battle
• Artifacts give the hero unique passive bonuses

ARENA HAZARDS

Not only opponents are a threat, but the battlefield itself. Arenas contain dangerous zones and traps that can damage your hero.

GAME MODES

Axes: Battleground will feature several game modes described below:

CAMPAIGN (PVE)

In the campaign mode, players have to fight monsters and complete tasks. The campaign will be divided into chapters, each of which consists of several stages with increasing difficulty.

ARENA (PVP)

In the arena, players fight other players according to the rules of battle royale. Opponents are selected by rating. Occupying a higher position at the end of the battle, the player increases his rating, and for the bad performance, on the contrary, he/she loses it.

For battles in the arena, all players are rewarded with gold depending on their place at the end of the battle. In addition, every week players are rewarded with gold and Axes Shards, depending on their position in the global leaderboard.

GAMBLE ARENA (PVP)

The game mode follows the rules of the Arena (PVP), however here the player must deposit a certain amount of Axes Shards to enter combat. These Axes Shards become the prize pool of the fight. At the end of the match, the prize fund is distributed among the players who took the first places.

TOURNAMENT (PVP)

From time to time, Axes: Battleground will host tournaments in which any player can take part.

Battles in the tournament follow the rules of the Arena (PVP), however, players fight only with other participants, and the rating does not affect the selection of opponents. Occupying high positions in the results of the battle, the player receives tournament points.

The players with the largest amount of tournament points at the end of the competition are awarded with Axes Shards.
